Dip For Jigsaw
27 Aug 2026
You may remember that earlier this year we had some age-appropriate talks from Jigsaw on mental health and wellbeing for our young swimmers. These sessions were particularly valuable, especially following the sudden passing of our fellow teammate Jonas. Jake and Sarah from Jigsaw were fantastic in delivering the sessions and were incredibly supportive and accommodating to us as a club.
They also told us about their annual Dip for Jigsaw event, which this year takes place on Sunday 13th September at 10am on Portmarnock Beach. We thought it would be a lovely opportunity for us to give something back to Jigsaw and show our support for the fantastic work they do.
We have registered Aer Lingus Swimming Club for the event, and our fundraising page can be accessed here:

There is no age restriction, so swimmers, coaches, parents, grandparents, siblings and friends are all very welcome to join us.
While Dip for Jigsaw is a fundraising event, it is also about coming together, having some fun and raising awareness around youth mental health. Last year, more than 50 people joined for the sea dip, music, activities, coffee and snacks, and it was a really enjoyable morning with a great atmosphere.
We’d love to see as many of our club families as possible there and make a strong showing of support for Jigsaw. It would be great to come together as a club, have some fun and support a very worthwhile cause.
We really hope you can join us!

On behalf of the ALSC committee, we’re delighted to share a glimpse into everything that makes our club so special. Since the start of the swim season, there has been an incredible amount of progress, energy, and achievement across all levels of the club.
We are pleased to share further details about the upcoming nutrition workshop for our Age Group and Senior Squad swimmers, taking place on Saturday, 28th February 2026. Special word of thanks to our supporters for this event: ReviveActive, Linwoods & Glenilen Farm.
Jigsaw will be visiting to deliver age-appropriate talks for our swimmers, focusing on mental health in young people, what Jigsaw does, and how to access support.
